AI Bridge LMS MCP

How the Bridge MCP Connector Works: Bringing AI to Your Learning Data

See how you can use your own AI with the Bridge MCP connector.

Bridge LMS is an all-in-one destination for learning, skills development, and performance management. But we know that your work happens in other tools and platforms, too.

If you’re using an AI assistant like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, you want all of your systems connected to pull insights seamlessly across your entire tech stack.

The Bridge MCP connector brings Bridge into that connected ecosystem, allowing you to ask questions, analyze performance, and combine context across platforms, with the ability to take action directly inside Bridge coming soon.

What Is an MCP Connector?

Think of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) as opening a secure door between your AI assistant and your everyday tools.

Without it, AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot are locked outside, they can't see what's happening inside your company's software. An MCP unlocks that door, creating a safe, direct pathway for your AI to reach into tools like Bridge, pull live learning and skills data, and combine it with insights from across your entire tech stack—all without you having to copy, paste, download reports, or switch apps.

What You Can Do With the Bridge MCP Connector

Connecting is a one-time setup that doesn't require any custom coding or ongoing maintenance. By utilizing an open-standard framework, the MCP will remain compatible as your organization's tech stack grows and changes. You can:

1. Read Data and Answer Questions

Analyze your learning and skills data to spot trends, answer questions, and build reports. For example:

  • “Which teams are currently behind on compliance training?”
  • “Where are the biggest skills gaps among our sales department and the roles we’re hiring for?”
  • “Summarize which courses are driving completions vs. getting abandoned.”
  • “Compare learner engagement to last quarter and tell me what’s changed.”

2. Trigger an Action

Trigger an action or create something in Bridge or another connected system based on the data your AI can see in Bridge. For example:

  • “Post a list of overdue training to our team’s Slack channel.”
  • “Create a board-ready slide deck based on compliance completion rates.”
  • “create a branded catalog of our active courses with descriptions and durations.”

3. Take Action in Bridge (Coming Soon)

As capabilities continue to evolve, admins and authors can choose to let their AI work inside Bridge to assist with time-saving administrative tasks, such as creating courses, enrolling learners, scheduling reminders, and marking completions. Learners will also be able to use AI to find and engage with content.

Your AI, Your Data, Your Rules

The Bridge MCP connector is designed to complement Bridge, not replace it. It securely extends the reach of the data and information inside of Bridge into your vetted and approved AI tools.

The MCP respects the same login and permissions that the user already has within the Bridge platform. Your AI assistant can only view or interact with the data you've permitted to access
